Principles of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are embedded in all aspects of our curriculum, programs, operations, policies and practices. Our staff are trained in a variety of methods to identify, discuss and resolve issues expediently with an active partnership between parents, students and staff. We keep abreast of the rapidly changing world and have age-appropriate boundaries that engage students actively, but responsibly.
RHA considers social responsibility, cultural diversity, integrity and how we can help others part of how we live our lives. Our students support families and charities in need with donations of money and supplies throughout the year. Our sense of citizenship is informed by the traditional Judaic concept of Tikkun Olam and Menschlichkeit. Our students' role as global citizens includes a responsibility to understand conditions of people throughout the world, our country and immediate community.
The RHA Character Education program is interwoven throughout lessons in every discipline. We focus on producing well-rounded citizens who lead moral and ethical lives with integrity, Jewish values and compassion. RHA encourages students to look at issues from a multi-dimensional perspective and to be mindful of the social, political and environmental impacts of decision-making. Students explore the connection between kindness, caring, true worth and perseverance. We place an emphasis on approaching the world with values, like honesty, integrity, empathy, fairness, cooperation and courage. Lessons about DEI are part of our curriculum and are embedded into programs – from novels selected to days of significance. We foster connections between the content, lessons and real-life.
