At the core of the RHA community are the countless parents who work tirelessly to enhance our school through the Parents’ Association (PA). Their work is widespread and creates many additional programs and special things at RHA. The dedicated PA is at the heart and soul of our school.
The PA helps deepen Jewish holiday experiences by providing traditional foods and treats. They prepare Mishloach Manot for Purim and provide Lulavim and Etrogim at Sukkot. They arrange for Shabbat Challahs to go home each Friday with our children and organize the school lunch program – everything from (kosher) pizza and hot dogs to sushi. The PA helps support our libraries through an incredible Annual Book Fair. It also arranges and oversees all of RHA’s extra-curricular activities – from yoga to martial arts, from cooking to guitar lessons, from hip-hop to public speaking and cartooning.
The Parents’ Association is also a critical link between parents and administration. Through this vehicle, parents can provide very real input to the school and have a regular, organized voice with decisions affecting students. Teachers, parents and staff work together to raise money for the equipment and programs that enrich our students' experience.
The PA is a big part of the reason RHA is known for our close-knit community, creating a richness of spirit and depth of commitment that infuses the entire culture of our school.
